24 Bateman Street, Cambridge. (If it's in red and underlined then it's a link to more information) Leopold Schroeder lived at 24, St Minver Terrace, Batemen Street, Cambridge. Ellen Elizabeth Fynn, daughter of Thomas Cowling Fynn, born in the December quarter of 1861 in St Andrew the Great, married Leopold Schroeder in 1881 but does not appear in the 1901 census. Leopold, born in Germany, has been found in the 1881 census before they married. He was 23 years old and lived at 24 S Minver Terrace, Bateman Street, Cambridge with his 18 year old brother, Franz, who was a student of philosophy, and their 20 year old sister. Leopold gives his occupation as "No Occ." and almost by way of explanation has added, "Dr of Philosophy (Professor)". He obviously didn’t count that as ‘work.’ I have not found a death record and therefore suggest that they may have moved back to Germany.
